Loftus, Jr. is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Interest Group, and Co-Director of the Advanced IBD Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.&nbsp; Doctor Loftus has been a member of the International Organization for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease since 2008.&nbsp; He has published over 350 original articles, editorials, and book chapters, and has lectured extensively on the epidemiology, natural history, diagnosis, and medical management of Crohn&rsquo;s disease and ulcerative colitis. &nbsp;Doctor Loftus is the local principal investigator for many clinical trials of investigational agents for inflammatory bowel disease. <br />
